ABOUT US

CKG Tour was organized in 2005 to meet the needs of developing young players (especially 9-under) to have a fair, fun and friendly environment that allows them to compete in their own age group, sharpen their skills and grow into becoming strong tournament golfers.  To date, CKG Tour takes pride of its members.  Many of whom have developed into world-class players.  Every year, many of our members qualify or earn exemptions for world events  and finish high on world stage.

With our reputation of providing non-threatening environment, older age groups demand their participation in our tour that we provide competition and exciting tournament experience for them as well.  In 2006, CKG Tour started setting up team play events (Ryder Cup format) with other tours.  The team play events commenced with CV Tour at Palm Desert in 2006, then followed with a match play against Ventura Junior Golf.

Our team play participations have grown multi-state and world-wide events.  We organized the California team to compete in 2007 World Youth Team Challenge in Bollingbrook, Illinois, in June, 2007.   On September 1, 2 and 3rd, 2007, CKG Tour hosted a multi-state team match play, "Pacific Southwest Cup" consisting of six teams at Green River Golf Course.   Junior golfers from Texas, Nevada, Northern California and San Diego Junior Golf as well as CKG Tour came together, played a team match play and had a lot of fun.  Please check out "Pacific Southwest Cup" button on our website for details regarding this event.

In 2007, CKG Tour affiliated with Optimist International Junior Golf Championship to host a district qualifying tournament for this event.  CKG Tour sponsored the winnners for Ages 16-17 (Boys and Girls) to compete in Florida for the championship event.    Also, in 2007, CKG Tour started hosting tournaments ranked by the National Junior Golf Scoreboard.

CKG Tour prevails in continuing to dedicate itself in giving positive impact to juniors.   In 2008, CKG Tour will host a "ranked" World Championship event in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.  This event will be ranked by the National Junior Golf Scoreboard and will be evaluated by American Junior Golf Association for AJGA exemptions for the high finishers.

CKG Tour also provides golf instruction through the CKG Tour Academy.  Through the Academy, we reach out to economically disadvantage familes to help their children learn and develop their skills to become competitive junior golfers.  Some of the students have grown to playing competitively in the tour.  It is our goal to grow geographically so we can help more juniors and continue to make a difference.
