Tournament Rule
Play is governed by the United States Golf Association (USGA) Rules of Golf & Decisions and amended.  Any dispute, question, claim, or concern will be determined by the Pacific Southwest  Tournament Committee.

Local Rule
All local rules of Green River - Orange Course are in effect.  In matches that are already won before the last hole, players may continue to complete the round.  Players and/or caddies can call the penalty.

Age Exemption
Based on AAU (Amateur Athletic Union) Rules and Regulations used in other junior national championship, each team may have up to 2 players with age exemption whose birthday falls between July 1st to July 31st.

Advice Rule
Players may give or ask for advice from his/her teammate.  Team Captain and Assistant Team Captain may advise players before, at the turn (to the back nine) or after the round.  Team Captain and Assistant Team Captain are not allowed not to interfere during rounds.

Calling Penalties

Penalties should be called by the players/caddies only -- not the coach and/or spectators.                ·         Team coaches will make up the rules committee
·         When a penalty is given and the players do not agree, a member of the rule committee should be called upon to settle the matter, a coach from another team should settle the matter (for example, if there’s a problem between the match of San Diego Team and Nevada Team, the coach of Texas team hould be called upon to settle the matter) so no team feels that they are in a disadvantage position and that the coach (a member of the rule committee) is making a fair decision.  A list of contact number of the member of the rules committee will be distributed to all coaches, players/caddies in case a problem arises.

Spectators Policy

It is very important that all spectators honor the "Spectator Guidelines" set forth by the Tournament Committee.  We remind all spectators of the following:

  • Spectators must remain on the cart path or in the rough at all times (remain at least 25 yards away from the player and 10 yards form the putting green).
  • Spectators are NEVER allowed in the fairway.
  • Spectators may NOT give players advice or assistance during the round.
  • All forms of communication may NOT be used as it may be construed as advice and subject to a player’s lost of hole.
  • Golf cart will be allowed for spectators
  • Spectators should keep even or in front of the group they are watching as to avoid interference with players trailing the matches.
  • Any parent, or guardian who behaves in conduct unbecoming may be asked to leave the property
  • Camera and video are allowed but must NOT interfere with players of both teams at all time.
Golf Carts
Any caddies or spectators who want to rent a cart, cart fee is $12.00/person.  Caddies may use the cart to shuttle their player between holes.  After reaching the tee, the player cannot ride and must walk the entire hole, the player can ride the cart from green to tee only.  The caddies may leave the bag on the cart or carry it on the course with the player when needed.

Caddie
Caddies are permitted to all players.

 Dress Code
Team uniform must be worn at all times during the competition.  Any denim or cut-off's are prohibited.  Shirts must be worn completely tucked in.  All hats with bills must be worn with the bills forward.  Players not appropriately attired will not be permitted to play.

Inclement Weather
The Pacific Southwest Cup Tournament committee makes all decisions regarding weather delays and/or cancellations on site the day of the event.

Code of Conduct
Violations of the code of conduct include: abusive language, club throwing, cheating, disrespect of volunteers or officials, abuse to the golf course or the facility, littering, or any other conduct unbecoming of tournament participation.  Violations result to a lost of that hole.
